Blue Depths
Blue Depths builds its underwater composition around an immense whale moving through blue light, with smaller fish nearby and a diver far below. Those changes in scale make the scene easy to read at a glance while suggesting the breadth of the surrounding ocean. The human figure provides a useful point of comparison, turning the image from a simple marine portrait into a quiet encounter with something much larger.
