Import and share Lively ZIP wallpaper packs

Lively can package a wallpaper as a .lively file or zip so someone else can import it in one step. A plain MP4 from this library does not need that package.

MP4 versus a Lively package

A video file is enough when the wallpaper is just a loop. A Lively package is useful when the wallpaper includes HTML, properties, preview images, or several files that must stay together.

Import a package

  1. Get the .lively or zip file from a person you trust, or export it from your own Lively library.
  2. Open Lively and import the file, or drag it into the library.
  3. Wait until the wallpaper appears in the list, then apply it.

Do not import packages from unknown sites that also ask you to disable antivirus. Treat a Lively package like any other program-adjacent file.

Export a package

The official app documents sharing through .lively archives. Use Lively’s own export or share action so the property file and media stay paired. Sending only the MP4 is simpler if the other person just needs the video.

Most library pages here offer an MP4, not a .lively bundle. Import those with drag-and-drop as described in use this library with Lively.
